On June 4, 2001 we became the only exclusive authorized dealer for Steinway & Sons in this area. Of the 67 authorized Steinway & Sons dealers in North and South America, we are one of only ten that have been appointed as a Steinway Piano Gallery. This designation means that in over twenty different areas, we have exceeded the high standards required by Steinway & Sons to professionally represent them and their fine hand-crafted pianos. Our Steinway-trained staff will professionally assist you in selecting a piano for your home or business. We have pianos displayed on our Selection Floor that will meet the requirements of the professional as well as the beginning pianist. You can play and select pianos ranging from a 5'1" baby grand to a 9' concert grand, and upright pianos from 42-52" in height. Included with all of our pianos, at no extra charge to you, is tuning before it leaves the Gallery, delivery to your home or business, and two more in-home tunings thirty days and six months after delivery. Steinway Piano Gallery of Tallahassee also houses the offices of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra, Tallahassee Symphony Youth Orchestra, Tallahassee Symphony Society, and the Artist Series. Steinway Piano Gallery also supports other music-related activities in and around the community. Within the Steinway Piano Gallery we have a private recital hall equipped with a 9' Steinway concert grand as well as a 7' Steinway. This is available to local professional musicians, teachers and students for rehearsals, recitals, or recording sessions. James R. Sims, owner and operator of the Steinway Piano Gallery of Tallahassee, has dedicated his entire career to the piano industry. Since 1957, sales, service and customer satisfaction have been ultimate goals. Jim is currently president of the Stubbs Educational Foundation, Inc., and a member of the Board of Directors of the Tallahassee Symphony Orchestra and the Artist Series. He has been married to Linda Sims for 39 years; they have two children and three grandchildren. His most recent lifetime achievement has been selling the world's most expensive piano ever built, the $675,000 Alma-Tadema by Steinway. |
