What is the difference between a player piano and a regular piano?

I’m looking for a piano and i keep finding all of these "player grand pianos" …. What’s the difference?

A player plays by itself. There are sort of scrolls inside with different songs on them which are just holes in the paper.. The one we had was very old. Probably now they do it electronically.

Player pianos play by themselves if you like push a special button or something. Regular ones can’t do that unless you have a ghost.
