Are the pedals different on Asian upright pianos such as Kawai than American brands such as Baldwin?

The pedals are standard the world over whether it is a Baldwin, Steinberg, or whatever. Otherwise, how else would pianist play on tours or if his piano was damaged ?
They have to rely on a common type setup just like guitars are tuned to A=440, some things never changed. Same with wind instruments.

What size are the average baby grand pianos and how much is a good one that is fairly old but in good conditio?

The new ones are like $5000. The old ones in good condition can be $2000-$3000, and the old ones in bad condition can go as low as $600.
